Moka is a GIS specialist and the Director of Digital Navigators Ltd, which specialises in providing quality GIS advice to iwi, hapu and whanau.
Moka has worked in the GIS Sector for the past two decades and is passionate about assisting and empowering iwi to achieve their own aspirations through the use of GIS technologies.
Moka has had a long history working with Maori and indigenous communities internationally on a variety of kaupapa in various roles as:

Miki is of Ngaati Te Wehi, Ngaati Hikairo ki Kawhia and Ngati Wairere and is the Kaumaatua of Ookapu Marae ki Aotea Moana, Kawhia. He also affiliates to Waipapa Marae ki Kawhia.

Digital Navigators Ltd attempts to intergrate digital technologies with kaupapa maori methodologies. This can prove difficult at times, however, we are really excited having Miki Apiti as the kaumatua for Digital Navigators Ltd. Miki brings over 20 years of experience from Maori Programmes, Television New Zealand. Having interviewed some of Maoridoms most prestiage kaumatua and heated topics of the day. He has seen the changing shift within New Zealand society from being brought up on a dirt floor in a puniu whare in the outskirts of Makomako, Aotea Harbour to his mokopuna traveling the world.
Miki is providing cultural advice and technical support to all aspects of Digital Navigators Ltd services.
